Disclaimer
Open communication is important for a safe treatment. Please take a moment to read through the following notes.
Duty of care
Every treatment is carried out professionally and with care. Statutory liability applies to any damage resulting from a treatment error. This includes in particular injury to life, body or health, as well as damage caused by gross negligence or intent.
The following sections describe situations that are outside the studio's sphere of influence.
Personal responsibility
By receiving a treatment, it is confirmed that:
- typical reactions such as temporary redness or mild irritation are known
- all relevant information about skin condition, known allergies and health has been disclosed
Exclusion of liability
Liability is excluded for consequences arising from:
- allergic reactions to wax or care products where the relevant allergies or intolerances were not disclosed
- ingrown hairs or skin irritation that may occur as a natural reaction to waxing and do not constitute a treatment error
- reactions caused by failure to follow the aftercare instructions provided after each treatment
- damage occurring after leaving the studio due to self-administered skin care
Liability cannot be limited for damages arising from injury to life, body or health, or for damages caused by intentional or grossly negligent breach of duty (§ 309 No. 7 BGB).
Declining a treatment
In certain situations a treatment will not be carried out. This serves to protect the skin and is not a personal judgement. This may be the case with:
- active skin conditions, open areas or infections in the treatment area
- risk factors that do not allow safe treatment
- signs during the treatment that make continuation untenable
Aftercare
After each treatment, care instructions for the following 24 to 48 hours are provided. Ingrown hairs, irritation or inflammation resulting from missing or improper aftercare are outside the studio's area of responsibility.
